With the 2024 election only months away, it is time for people to do the right thing, and do what the cowardly Republican Party has failed to do time and time again,
Every time these so-called leaders in the Republican/American Fascist Party were given the opportunity to end to this Trump-inspired American nightmare, they have failed. These so-called alphas, like Lindsey Graham, Moscow Mitch McConnell, Kevin McCarthy, Bill Barr and others, keep breathing like into this MAGA cult - which they all HATE in order to preserve their own grip on power.
All of these people, who have all called Doanld Trump a danger to the country, have decided to support this sick and twisted individual. Why are they doing it? According to them it is because the maniacs that now make up the Republican Cult voter, have chosen Trump as the Party nominee.
Some like Barr and Nikki Haley have the audacity to claim that Joe Biden is actually a bigger threat. That makes it official. They are partisan hacks who are willing to say anything to maintain power.
The reality is that Biden has never led an insurrection of domestic terrorists in an attempt to overthrow the nation's government. Biden has never been, nor has he said that he ever will be a dictator like Trump has claimed.
No person has been a bigger threat to the constitution of the United States then Donald Trump, If Trump is re-elected, than we might as well piss on the constitution and set it on fire because that is what we will be doing by deliberately putting this man in power again. Remember, Hitler was elected. Vladimir Putin was elected. It can, and is, happening here.
Haley might be the most disgusting of all. Trump called her birdbrain and derided her husband's military service. What kind of Stockholm Syndrome has engulfed this cult? No backbone of any kind.
As an intendent who has vote for both parties in the past, there is nothing left that Republicans believe in, that I can get behind. I have not voted for a Republican for any office since 2018 and will never vote Republican again.
The only way to end this American nightmare is to vote for the only sane party left in this country for Congress, Senate, state-wide offices and for President in order to save our democracy from this cult!!!!
For the last year-plus I have heard angry progressives bad mouthing the Democratic Party and especially Joe Manchin and Krysten Sinema because they refuse to go nuclear and put an end to the filibuster so that the Progressive-wing of the party can instantly get everything they have ever wanted.
I have been pushing back on that, trying to explain that this does not work that way. The explanation goes something like this. Manchin and Sinema can be frustrating at times, but you need Senators like this who can win seats in red states.
Manchin and Sinema, while frustrating at times, have helped confirm every judge put forth by the Biden administration, and that would not have happened if the Democrats did not hold those Senate seats in deep red states. These Senators have also helped Biden and the Democrats pass the infrastructure bill, the recovery act, the gun-reform legislation and so on.
But it is on days like today that we need Senators Manchin and Sinema the most.
Mitch McConnell was threating, like he tends to do, to pull Republican support for the $53 billion microprocessor manufacturing bill if the Democrats passed this new reconciliation package so Manchin pulled his support for the Democratic deal. Again, progressives flipped out, but after the Republicans voted on the Microprocessor (Semiconductor) Manufacturing bill, Manchin said he had reached a deal with Senate majority leader Chuck Schumer. A brilliant maneuver if I do say so myself.
The new reconciliation bill, which they are calling the Inflation Reduction Act, includes the following, and pay attention progressives:
1. An investment of $369 billion dollars in renewable energy and climate change initiatives.
2. It will allow Medicare to negotiate prescription drug prices, which should help reduce the overall cost of the Medicare program, while at the same time reducing what seniors will pay out of pocket for their prescriptions.
3. It will extend subsidies under the Affordable Care Act, which will continue to make premiums under the ACA more affordable to more families, myself included.
4. Increasing the minimum corporate tax to 15%, which will help raise revenue for the government and reduce the deficit, while keeping taxpayers who make $400,000 or less from seeing any Federal tax hikes.
5. Reduce carbon emission by 40 % by 2030.
This is why you need people like Manchin and Sinema, and the best part of it was the Manchin used some of McConnell's hardball tactics against him.
By the way, Republicans were so mad that they got duped by the Democrats, that they took it out on U.S. veterans. The PACT Act, which had been passed in the Senate earlier with 84 votes for, had to return to the Senate for the final vote and Republicans voted it down, leaving our veterans without the health care they need to survive.
Progressives in the Democratic Party need to understand that you want to build a large tent, which includes Democrats who can be elected in places like West Virginia, Georgia, Arizona and soon places like Texas, Oklahoma, Mississippi, Alabama and so on and those Democrats are not going to be hardline progressives but having them in the Senate and House will help you achieve your goals.
If you truly want to move every hardline piece of legislation you want, you need to get more Democrats elected nationwide, not criticize the ones you already have helping you out 90 percent of time.
If progressives don't want to leave everything up to Manchin and Sinema again and again, then they need to go out and vote and get more Democrats elected to the House and Senate.
Former Donald Trump advisor Steve Bannon was found guilty today of contempt of Congress, after refusing to provide documents and to appear for a deposition in front of the January 6th Committee.
Bannon could serve up to two years after being convicted of both misdemeanors. Bannon, who is known as a right-wing extremist who seeks to deconstruct the "deep state," tried to save his own skin before the trial began this week by offering to testify before the committee but only in a live setting.
The committee was not going to allow this deeply unhinged man to turn the January 6th Committee hearings into a Trump circus.
Remember, Bannon has already been convicted of ripping off Trump supporters. Bannon and others were convicted of soliciting donations under false pretenses. They said the funds would be used to help build Trump's wall on the southern border, but the money was not being used for those ends, but instead being embezzled by Bannon and the other swamp monsters.
Trump pardoned Bannon on his way out the door for this crime in early 2021.
Bannon was also part of the attempted coup that happened on January 6th, 2021. Beyond his statement on his podcast on Jan. 5, 2021, that all hell was going to break lose the next day, he also appeared to be aware of Trump's plan to say the election was stolen if he lost. (Listen to the audio below).
Bannon explained that Trump would just declare that the election was stolen regardless of the outcome, like he actually did in the early morning hours on the day after the election. Bannon also called Trump a "King" in the audio and that he will never have to win another election. He was clearly aware of the coup attempt ahead of time.
As you can see, this was all premeditated. Bannon is a co-conspirator like those involved in the plot to take down our government in April 1865. Those co-conspirators, who tried to assassinate the heads of our government in 1865, were all tried, and those found guilty of treason against the United States paid the highest price for their crimes.
The next step is for the justice department to round up this collection of fascist co-conspirators who are in favor of violating our Constitution and installing an authoritarian against the will of the people. These people, including Bannon, must also be put on trial for treason.
If there are no consequences, we only encourage the next wave of domestic terrorists and coup plotters to try again.
One in four pregnancies in this country end in a miscarriage. That's a stat for all the theocratic fascists out there, including the Supreme Court, who are trying to force women, young girls, rape victims, and victims of incest to become forced incubators. One in four pregnancies end in miscarriage.
When a miscarriage occurs, OGBYN doctors, remove the dead fetus using the same procedures used during abortions to keep the mother safe. It is unsafe for a woman to carry around a dead fetus inside her. She could become infected and die. The infection can also cause damage to her reproductive organs that will prevent her from having children in the future. But the Republican-Fascist party does not care about that. So much for prolife huh?
Here is the problem. In states where these ill-fated abortion bans have occurred, doctors are afraid to provide a legit procedure to save a mother and give her the opportunity to reproduce again if she chooses because they are afraid of being prosecuted in some states and sued in others, so they are not providing the appropriate medical procedures.
The women in the above story had to carry her dead fetus inside of her for more than two weeks. What kind of physical and emotional toll does that take on someone who wanted to have the baby? I'll let the women answer that because I can't speak on that, and neither can the old men that make up most of the Republican-Fascist Party in Congress and on the Supreme Court for the most part.
There is only one answer. VOTE OUT every Republican-Fascist in government who wants to turn your wives, daughters, granddaughters, nieces and victims of sexual assault into government-forced incubators against their will.
The American Fascist Party, formerly the GOP, is now actively blocking legislation that prevent women from traveling from the hellish red states (the Fascist ones) they live in to prevent them from getting an abortion.
What happened to "Freedom"?
I had to listen to ignorant so-called prolife Republicans cry about mask mandates and vaccines, which could have saved half a million lives (prolife?) in the United States, but I guess freedom isn't important in this case.
In these Fascist states where women have been reduced to forced incubators, women will die during childbirth, despite being told by their doctors that another pregnancy will put their lives in danger. I guess these mother's lives are not important. What's prolife about that?
Then there is the case of the 10-year-old girl in Ohio who was raped and impregnated. For context, that would make her probably a fifth grader. Let that sink in for a minute. Fascist after Fascist in this country, including the ones in Congress, called that story a lie, but then police arrested the rapist, so that turned out to be another theocratic Fascist lie.
This girl traveled to Indiana to get an abortion because she no longer fell within the six-week window that Ohio allows for getting an abortion. The 10-year-old missed the cut by 3 days and was forced to travel out of state to get this abortion. But Republicans were not happy calling her story a lie, but they are now going after the doctors who arranged to save this 10-year-old's life.
Republicans in the Senate are basically leaving the door open to allow Fascist state legislatures to imposing no travelling laws for abortion. If these Republican Fascists didn't plan on doing any work in the United States Senate, then why did they decide to run for office? It clearly was not to pass any legislation that helps people, it was just for the power, fame and riches associated with holding that formerly prestigious post.
I remember that right after Roe v. Wade was overturned, these Fascists claimed that it was no big deal. That anyone who was looking to seek an abortion could go to another state to get one, but now the true motivation of these fascists is being exposed.
They have never lied about their intentions from the beginning. It was to overturn Roe v. Wade and then end abortion nationally, turning every girl and woman in America into forced birthing vessels, whether they are 10 years old or 60, whether they've been a victim of rape or incest, or whether their lives are at stake or not.
There is ONLY one way to right this wrong. It is by voting all the fascists out of government. If this is an issue you truly care about, then you need to be a one-issue voter, like Republican Fascists have been for the better part of four decades. Only one party in this country is defending reproductive rights and its Democrats.
You know what you have to do. Deliver a filibuster-proof majority to the Senate and a majority in the House in order to stop the fascists from taking any more rights away. First it was abortion, now it is travel. What's next?

A number of Republican Senators who allowed the child tax credit, which was part of the American Recovery Act passed by Democrats, to lapse have all of the sudden decided that the child tax credit is a good idea.
The moderate GOP senators have deduced that they can't ignore the women that they have turned into forced incubators without pretending to care, so they proposed the same child tax credit that they allowed to lapse in December of 2021.
Most people read a headline like this and assume Republicans are following through on helping families. LIE! Look at the proposal closely. The Republicans would give money to families but not to the lowest income families, AND here is the super important part they would eliminate all sorts of tax deductions that people currently receive at when they file their taxes, which would actually make the child credit null and void in some cases and be devastating to other folks with and without children in other cases.
Here are the two most important deductions that the Republican plan would eliminate. The person filing as Head of House, meaning families would lose this roughly $4,000 deduction, and while they might get $3,600 from the child tax credit. They would actually take a net loss for the year.
It gets much worse, they want to eliminate the state and local tax deduction, which means families that own a home, would now have to pay their water bill and local property tax, but then it would not count against their income at the end of the year. For most families, that would add about $5,200 to their tax bill when they file their income taxes.
This is a completely INSANE plan! I hate to say I told you so, but I told you so. They are pro birth not pro-life. This is another prime example of how they stack the deck against families after the women is forced to have the child.
Don't be asking us for childcare assistance, money to feed your kids, for rental assistance, or health insurance for these new babies. You have given birth we are done here.

Transportation secretary Pete Buttigieg was invited to be on FOX News this morning to discuss the infrastructure projects associated with Joe Biden's Infrastructure bill that was passed in 2021 on a bi-partisan basis, but when the FOX News host tried to move the conversation to people who are protesting peacefully against Supreme Court justices, Buttigieg took control of the interview and made it clear that all the Amendments of the Constitution are important, not just the second one.
You are welcome to view the entire interview, but if you are looking to skip to the first amendment issue it can be found seven minutes into the interview. I recommend listening to the entire interview, as Buttigieg discusses how the infrastructure bill rollout is proceeding.
Buttigieg could not be more accurate in his assessment that the American public has the right to protest PEACEFULLY public officials when they do something in their role as a public figure that upsets the public (the majority or minority of the public).
Americans protest public figures all the time in this country, why should Supreme Court justices be any different, especially justices who perjured themselves, after being nominated by an authoritarian, to get themselves appointed to the court, and then overturned 50 years of settled precedent.
Make no mistake, people should not be violent in any way because the constitution allows for people to protest peacefully, but once they become violent and violate the law, they are now criminals like the domestic terrorists who stormed the Capitol looking to kill the Vice President and the Speaker of the House, among others.
These are the interviews that FOX News viewers need to hear on a regular basis, but in most cases, the opposing viewpoint is not welcomed on FOX News, and when it is, they are talked over and shouted down. Good for Buttigieg, not only for accepting the interview, but for not allowing the FOX host to interrupt him or silence him, even though he tried multiple times.
Let this be a lesson to the more progressive members of the Democratic caucus, who refuse to even go on FOX News. More than half the country watches this, for lack of a better word, "news" channel, and if all they hear is the constant BS provided by the extreme right, then that will eventually become their viewpoint as well. Thus, it's imperative that more Democrats do these interviews if nothing else to put an end to the one-sided propaganda that permeates this so-called "news" network.
Here is a brief video from Republican House of Representatives member Debbie Lesko (8th District-Arizona) about how outraged she is that almost meaningless gun legislation was passed last week that will do very little to curb the massive amounts of gun violence in this country.
Forget for a minute that this loon, I believe accidently, said she would she her own grandchildren to protect them in a speech on the floor of the House. But more importantly she corrected her statement to make it clear that she is not a homicidal maniac, but instead is a gargantuan liar.
Let's watch the video, and below I will blow up each and every one of her lies.
It took her only 14 seconds to tell us that Grandmothers shoot people to defend their grandchildren. While it is true that most Grandmothers would do almost anything to protect their grandchildren, I can't remember any of the grandmothers I have ever known or met, packing AR-15's. BUT I DIGRESS.
1. She blatantly lies that Democrats took away her rights, and other law-abiding citizens rights to defend themselves and the people that they love. I must have missed something. Which weapons did the recent legislation ban? None. LIAR!
2. She then meanders on about a Democrat bill that violates due process. LYING LESKO. In her example, someone would accuse you of being crazy, kind like I am doing now with rep. Lesko, and this claim would be made to a judge. And she said, if you do not know about the hearing, then your due process is being violated. LIE. If there is a hearing, then by definition you're being afforded a due-process hearing. If you are too stupid to know when the hearing is, that's no ones fault but yours.
3. Instead of working with Republicans to get bi-partisan legislation, Democrats do not talk to us. LIE. This recent legislation had to be bipartisan, which is why it sucked by the way, because it needed at least 10 Republicans to vote for it in the Senate.
4. (1:33) The most outlandish lies of all. When Republicans were in the majority, we actually passed legislation that helped prevent mass shootings. REALLY? TWO MONUMENTAL LIES. 4a. What laws did you pass? NONE. 4b. What mass shootings did you prevent? NONE. And I have news for you LYING LESKO. Even this bill that Democrats went along with will do little to prevent mass shootings because the 2 biggest problems were not addressed. (Standardized federal background checks for every gun sale and the banning of war weapons from being civilian owned)!
5. (1:43) "We worked with Democrats." When and on what? LIAR.
In conclusion, Lesko spoke for two minutes and told 6 lies in two minutes. She learned from the master. Lie as much as possible and tell the lie enough so the low-information voter begins to believe it as fact.
I have no idea what the 8th district of Arizona is like, but if this half-wit can end up in Congress as its representative for about 700,000 soles, it might not be a destination location for the sane.
The only way to break this fever is by continuing to hand these theocratic fascists who want to arm teachers, repeated defeats at the ballot box for years to come. It is the only way. VOTE BLUE in 2022.
GOP extremist Senator Marco Rubio has proposed a bill that seems like a good idea that Democrats have been proposing for a while, paid family leave. However, once you move past the title, it all falls apart.
Rubio, one of Donald Trump's true sycophants, says we are going to support this new prolife mandate by the Supreme Court by giving these new struggling families paid family leave. LIE. The bill would provide paid family leave, but this family must forego part of their social security money to do so.
I HATE TO SAY I TOLD YOU SO, BUT I TOLD YOU SO.
This is not the first time Rubio has floated this idea. In 2018, he laid out the same plan which would provide the leave money now but at a cost to the same family at retirement. It's ok. They are hoping you will be dead before you can claim any social security benefits. That is, after all, why they keep increasing the age to earn full social security payments.
These theocratic extremists are not going to spend a single tax dollar to help the women they just turned into incubators or their husbands but will instead draw on these poor family's future pensions to pay for the kids that they are forcing them to have now regardless of that family's economic viability.
What next? Are Republicans going to offer you some food stamps, but they will have to tax that family at a higher rate? Hey Little Marco, if they could afford to be taxed more or forego their social security, they would not need food stamps from you.
I've been screaming this since this new iteration of the theocratic fascist Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade a week and a half ago, and I will say it again now. They do not care about the wellbeing of these children. They just want to force women to comply by giving birth, but you will never see them spend a nickel on any social programs.
But how do you know this for sure, you may ask? Because they have fought Democrats on all these bills for the last 50+ years. It was the Republican Party that allowed the extended child tax credit to expire just last year. All that did was help bring CHILDREN, the one's already living, out of poverty and keep them from going hungry. Not one single Republican voted to extend that child tax credit. NOT ONE.
And let's not forget that we are the only industrialized country in the world that does not provide health care for all its citizens, including CHILDREN, and we are one of only a handful of industrialized nations that does not provide paid-family leave. We know that Rpublicans are full of crap, but yet people continue to vote for the two-faced extremist liars who would rather ensure a murder can get a gun at the drop of a hat than make sure that all kids have free school lunches, health care or food stamps.
They always have been, and continue to be, a disgrace to the nation and it is time to vote the liars out of office. This could be our last chance, since this might be the last free election held in United States history - and guess who we have to thank for that? You guessed it!
At least another six people were killed, and 24 people were seriously injured in a shooting during a 4th of July parade in an Illinois suburb today.
NO PLACE IS SAFE!
We will now add parades to the list of places Americans can't go without the threat of being murdered by crazed gunmen, who because of United States gun laws, are armed to the teeth with the deadliest weapons available to civilians.
The list continues to grow. You now need to avoid schools (elementary, middle, high schools and even colleges), malls, shopping centers (grocery stores and retailers), movie theatres, workplaces, bars, night clubs, churches, synagogues and mosques, concerts, among others.
As was explained in an earlier post, this will continue to happen as long as one party (Republicans) continue to grovel at the feet of the NRA (National Rifle Association) and its lunatic base.
The gun reform bill that was passed last month had one or two decent provisions in it, but never stood a chance of substantially limiting gun violence in this country as long as assault-style weapons (automatic and semi-automatic long guns) are not banned, and as long as standardized, nation-wide background checks are not adopted for the sale of all weapons.
As long as these two issues are not address, crazed gunmen and criminals will have no problem getting their hands on guns in certain states (red states) where the gun laws are lax, and then taking those guns anywhere they want.
The proof is in the numbers. Gun violence is highest in red states. The top 15 states with the highest per capita gun deaths are states controlled by Republicans. The states with the lowest gun deaths per capita are New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, Massachusetts, Rhode Island and Hawaii! Enough said.
If you are sick and tired of taking your life into your hands every time you leave the house, and tired of Congressional Republicans putting band aids on a severed limb, then you have only one choice and that's to elect more democrats nationally, but more importantly, at every level of government (state and local).

Ulysses S. Grant, the commander of the Union forces during the Civil War, describes perfectly the circumstances that could lead to a second Civil War in an 1875 speech.
"If we are to have another (Civil War), I predict the dividing line will not be Mason and Dixon's, but between Patriotism and intelligence on one side and superstition, ambition and ignorance on the other."
Grant could not have described the sides more perfect. On one side, intelligent Patriots fighting to save the world's greatest democracy and on the other side ignorant people who believe in superstitions or conspiracy theories following craven power-hungry and ambitious leaders lusting for power!

The ad you just witnessed was an internet ad by disgraced former Missouri governor Eric Greitens who is now running to be a member of the United States Senate.
Greitens' ad, which was put on the internet deliberately because that is where the bulk of the MAGA crazies can be found searching for Qanon predictions, suggests that MAGA members should get a RINO hunting license, meaning a license to shoot and kill Republicans in Name Only (RINO).
There are some good people who voted for Trump and this MAGA movement right? They have to see the crazy here, right?
Greitens was the governor of Missouri until he was forced to resign after sexual assault allegations and violating campaign finance law.
Greitens said in the ad that RINO's feed on corruption. Surely, he must be joking right? He is the epitome of corruption. He lasted a little over a year as governor before the pressure of multiple scandals forced the Republican-led Missouri legislature to threaten him with impeachment if he did not resign.
The list of scandals includes:
1. Violation of campaign finance reform
2. Sexual assault and using photos to keep the victim quite about her knowledge of the crime'
3. Physical abuse of his children
4. Sexually assaulting his hairstylist
The real question is why this man has not been arrested for inciting violence? I'm sure it has something to do with law enforcement sympathizing with this MAGA death cult.
This is the most important election in our history, VOTE BLUE in 2022.
I was forced to do something today that I do not even wish on my worst enemies, I had to watch hours of FOX "News" to see how they were indoctrinating the clones.
Predictably, Sean Hannity and Tucker Carlson were framing this ruling by the Supreme Court today ending 49-years of abortion precedent by overturning Roe v. Wade 6-3 (strictly party lines), as no big deal. All this is going to do, they said, is throw this issue back to the states and the voters will get to decide. Hey Hannity, do not piss on my head and telling me it's raining.
Carlson went on to say that if you have abortion in your state that will not be threatened if that's how you want to live. I call BS on that as well.
Here is the reality, Mitch McConnell and Kevin McCarthy, the fascists at the head of the Republican/ American Fascist Party, have both indicated that a national abortion ban is possible. Believe them when they say it. It is what they are planning for the start of 2023 if they retake power.
In March, after the draft opinion of the Supreme Court was leaked, Mitch McConnell told USA Today, that "if the leaked opinion became the final opinion, legislative bodies - not only at the state level but at the federal level - certainly could legislate in that area ... and if this were the final decision, that is the point ... so yeah, (a federal ban) is possible."
This part should not be lost, "at the FEDERAL level."
Today McCarthy, flanked by his brownshirts in Congress, held a press conference about this ruling, and how he was already looking into two bills, either banning or limiting severely, abortion with no restrictions at the Federal level. He took a total of three questions, and when the questions started getting tough, he ended the presser by praying for all Americans. Let's hope he didn't forget the 40,000+ who will die as a result of his GOP's lax gun policies. Prolife?
The one resounding theme I heard all night long on the Republican/Fascist news network was Laura Inghram chiming in that all this does it kick it back to the states until it is decided by an election.
So we need to conclude by explaining the history of state's rights in this country. State's rights has always been a vehicle for the wealthy minority to rule the poorer and less-connected majority.
State's rights were used to defend slavery. When abolitionists called for the end of slavery, southern states used state's rights arguments to say they had the right to own slaves.
State's rights were used again as a defense/justification for segregation. Southern states who came up with Jim Crow laws and Segregation policies, said the 10th Amendment made it possible for each state to write its own laws about busing, water fountains, schools, restaurants and other public accommodations because none of that was specified in the Constitution.
Beyond being a way to keep black folks in check, it has also been used to keep women in their appropriate station in society. State's rights were used as a defense when it came to disenfranchise women at the ballot box. The first state to give women the vote was Wyoming in 1890, but it would be 30 years before women would be given full enfranchisement in 1920.
As long as voting rights for women was a state's rights issue, they would be given voting rights, but not in Presidential elections because that was a federal election. So as other states after Wyoming gave women the vote, it was limited to only certain elections.
State's rights were used as the reason for Southern states to secede from the Union in 1861, starting the bloodiest conflict in American history.
State's rights have always been, and will always be, like the filibuster and the Senate at large, a means for giving the wealthy minority the power over the majority of the country.
Facts:
93 percent of the country believes abortion should be legal when the life of the mother is at risk
70 percent of the country believes Roe v. Wade should not have been overturned
67 percent of the country believes abortion should be legal in cases of rape or incest
Again, state's rights is being used as a means for 1/3 of the country to tell the other 2/3 what bans they have to live by. Where is the democracy in that?

The Fascist religious right in this country has stepped over the final line, and anyone currently living in the United States on June 24, 2022 is living in a right-wing fascist theocracy, meaning a government run by religion and unscrupulous "religious" leaders.
The United States Supreme Court, infused by three justices rammed onto the court by the second worst world leader in recent world history, Donald Trump, overturned a 49-year precedent today, which stripped away the rights of half the population in the United States because, in the justice's opinions, women are not really citizens and can't be trusted to make decisions related to their own bodies.
This fascist right-wing theocratic court, formerly known as the Supreme Court of the United States, voted 6-3 (along party lines) to overturn the rights guaranteed to women in the 1973 ruling, Roe v. Wade.
Apparently, while SCOTUS was eager to make us all into religious citizens of a theocracy, they forgot that the separation of church and state is also guaranteed to all of us who live in this country. This ruling is a ruling that will force the entire country to live by the court's Christain religious views.
Jews, Muslims, Agnostics, Atheists, Hindus, etc., in this country should be very afraid, because this fascist theocratic mob is coming for you! Same-sex marriage rights are in peril, the right of interracial couples to marry is again in doubt, the right to contraception is in peril, as well as due process. They might as well have poured gasoline on the United States Constitution and lit it on fire.
Justice Samuel Alito, one of the head fascists on the court, in his written opinion basically pissed on the 14th Amendment of the Constitution by saying that because abortion wasn't specified in the original text of the constitution, then it is not a right. Well keep this in mind, in the original text of the Constitution, black folks were considered property or 3/5th's of a person.
It is insane to say or believe that if something was not specifically delineated in a 200-plus-year-old document, then it can't be a right. The founders could not have anticipated our modern society in their wildest of imaginations, so how can we read the Constitution strictly as it was written in the late 1700s.
If you have diluted yourselves into believing that other rights besides abortion are not on the chopping block, then you have not been watching this fascist, theocratic court operate. They can ban any law in any state, overturn any right, and rewrite rules for themselves, thus eliminating the powers of the other two branches of government.
Forget about prolife and prochoice. This decision has nothing to do with that. This has everything to do with the SCOTUS using its authority to rule the country with an iron fist!!!!
But in case you still believe that this is about abortion. Here are the facts:
People who claim to be prolife are actually just pro birth. They do not care at all what happens to these children after they come out of the womb. Need proof? Fine, the same so-called pro-lifers are against food stamps for poor children, they recently opposed extending the child tax credit so children do not starve or have a place to live. They oppose child care assistance provided by the government, which would help parents go to work to provide for these children. They are against health care for all children because they support only health care for children whose parents can "afford" it, which is almost no one. EVERY time one of these things comes before Congress, the right wing theocrats in this country oppose it. So they do not care about children. That is the biggest load of dung ever perpetrated on the American public.
The same fascist death cult that is "pro" life also believes that we should have as many guns for killing others as possible on the streets and they are ardent supporters of the death penalty, which when applied incorrectly, can not be undone. PRO BIRTHERS are full of SHIT!
This is why voting is so important because when you vote in people like Mitch McConnell, and brain-dead idiots like Trump, who just go along with what the McConnell and other fascist theocrats like Ted Cruz and Mike Lee want, you get this gross version of what used to be the highest court in the land.
The seat currently filled by Neil Gorsuch was stolen by McConnell. He refused to seat President Barack Obama's pick in 1000-percent violation of the United States Constitution. Remember, he said he was not going to appoint Obama's pick because we were in an election year. Then when Ruth Bader Ginsburg died a month before the election in 2020, all of the sudden, that hypocrite forced pastor Amy Coney Barrett onto the Supreme Court to insure this outcome.
SCOTUS, along with our democracy, was highjacked by these craven power-hungry fascists and this is just the tip of the iceberg. If you do not vote blue in 2022, we will never have a free and fair election again, as this court will allow your voting rights, especially the voting rights of blacks to be stripped from them. You can expect the rights of millions more Americans will be stripped away unceremoniously as they continue to urinate on the Constitution and tear it to shreds. I have never been more convinced of anything in my life.
Louie Gohmert, one of the sorriest excuses for a U.S. House of Representatives member from Texas, went on a rant during a recent hearing on gun reform, claiming that he was outraged by the fact that some Democrats said Republicans are siding with the gunmen in these all-to-common shootings.
Gohmert asked his fellow members of the committee: Do you think we have no hearts? Let me answer for them. NOOO! He was upset because some Democrats said that "(Republicans) put our right to kill over other's right to live." Let me answer that one also: Absolutely True. And then he goes on about some non-sensical talking point about how cities are the most dangerous places and that they are all run by Democrats: I call BS on that on both counts (evidence below).
Mr. Gohmert. It would be easier to believe that you are not complicit in murder if you passed some common-sense gun reforms, and let's be real, you have never done that. Spare me your thoughts and prayers, because they are even less genuine than you. I welcome prayers for the families when they are genuine, but at this point it is a Republican punchline that I'm sure is shared at NRA conventions.
If you said, maybe we could raise the age to 21 for someone to buy a weapon of mass murder. That would be better. Maybe if you supported a background check that was standard across the country for anyone selling a gun, that would be better. Maybe if you put a ban on assault rifles, maybe than I could believe you, but you support none of those things. So, I am inclined to believe that you are here to make sure the gunmen can get a deadly war weapon the day he turns 18 and shoot up a school, church, nightclub, movie theatre, workplace, concert, supermarket, Walmart, synagogue. Is that enough or should I continue?
Then he says that all cities are controlled by Democrats. Lie. Numerous cities with high murder rates are being run by Republican mayors. Other ones that are being run by Democrats, just like their Republican mayorial counterparts, have little control over the inflow of guns into their states because although the gun laws are extremely strict in a place like Illinois, they are incredibly lax in all the surrounding states which allows criminals and gangs to send gunrunners into neighboring states to purchase all the illegal weapons that drug money can buy and bring it back to Illinois. I'm using Illinois because Chicago is in Mr. Gohmert's talking points. I saw him reading it off the screen in front of him.
Here are the facts related to gun violence, of the top 15 states in America with the highest per-capita murder rate as a result of a gun, the top 13 are red states (Republican states) run by Republican governors and Republican legislatures.
Want some more Mr. Gohmert, or are you ready to cry uncle? Although, they blame gun violence on the pandemic, in 2017, nearly 40,000 Americans died as a result of gun violence - a 50-year high. That is a gun death every 13 minutes. Do the math. I believe government in 2017 was completely controlled by Republican authoritarians (President, Senate and House). True Statement.
I included the list for Mr. Gohmert to view when he has a free second from being a blowhard bullshit artist. And anyone else can take a look as well. The states with the highest number of gun deaths, are, surprise, surprise, the states with the most guns. Shocking!
So now all the lawmakers are doing a jig because they have a tentative framework on some gun reforms, that should drop that number from 40,000 per year, down to 39,500. Maybe they should pass something that means something or be voted out.
Here are the highlights of this so called "gun" reform bill.
I will start with the one thing in it that means something. Including people who have domestic violence arrests and restraining orders on the national background check. This will help keep some people alive, especially domestic violence victims.
They are going to make an 18-year-old wait a couple of days before he can buy his AR-15's now. Meaningless. Ban them or raise the age.
Financial incentives to get states to pass red flag laws. Red states will not do that. Meaningless.
More money for mental health. Could be beneficial if used right, and Abott in Texas actually applies it to mental health. He cut hundreds of millions of dollars from mental health last year. Another BS artist.
If you are waiting for the rest, then you will be waiting a long time because that is basically it.
In the summer of 2021, Texas governor Greg Abbott made purchasing a gun as easy as purchasing a drink at a convivence store, and predictably, an 18-year-old purchased a gun last week without any training, without a license, without a background check and then used that gun to slaughter 19 children and two teachers, AGAIN!
Fourth graders were slaughtered because Republicans made owning a firearm, especially a war weapon like an AR-15, as easy as can be.
Let me make this clear, there is only one party in America too cowardly to protect elementary-aged school children from being gunned down while they learn, and it is the Republican Party!
Here are the facts that Republican Fascists do not want you to know:
1. Ninety percent of the American public wants a standardized federal background check.
This law would prevent certain states from making it easier for criminals and gang members from purchasing guns in Texas and Indiana and then bringing it elsewhere to sell at a markup or using them to commit crimes in states with real gun safety laws.
2. Two thirds of the American Public support banning AR-15 style weapons or weapons of war or weapons of mass murder.
This law would not prohibit people from owning handguns for self-defense, and rifles for hunting, it would just get rid of weapons whose sole purpose is to kill and maim people, leaving them little chance of survival.
3. Everyone, including most NRA members, believe people should be required to have gun safety training before purchasing a firearm. Right now, that is not the case in some red states.
Why wouldn't people want all so-called responsible gun owners to have knowledge about something as potentially dangerous as a firearm.
4. There is such a thing as a gun-show loophole, and it needs to be closed. I can purchase any weapon I want at a gun show as long as I am not buying it from a federal licensed dealer. Meaning if I have the cash, I get what I want. Personally, I was at a flea market in Florida, and saw people selling guns and gun parts and ammo to anyone who happened by regardless of whether they were eligible to purchase it or not, or a criminal or not.
ONE PARTY, and ONE PARTY alone, has made it ok to slaughter children in schools, people in churches, concert goers at a country music festival, people at a night club, people in bars, people in Walmart, or folks doing their groceries in Buffalo.
The Republican Fascists will offer their thoughts and prayers, and quite frankly they can shove those where the sun doesn't shine. Thoughts and prayers are a joke and a cliche at this point. You were elected to keep the American people safe. Do your JOB!!!!
As voters, you must vote to remove anyone from office with a A+ rating from the NRA, because what that means is that they refuse to discuss even the most common-sense gun safety legislation. That means they are corrupt because they are completely in the pockets of special interest gun lobby.
Do your job as voters and vote these people out who stand by as people slaughter living and breathing children.
Lastly, I can't help but see the irony that these same fascists who claim to be prolife (really pro birth) will do nothing as children are slaughtered almost daily to protect them.

South Carolina Lindsey Graham, who has carried the water for Donald Trump for the last six years, also believes, like I do, that Donald Trump is a vile scumbag, and that Joe Biden really is a good man despite his public pronouncements to the contrary.
Graham, who can only be described as a Trump sycophant in public, is anti-Trump in private - proof positive that Graham will tell any lie to consolidate corrupt power.
Graham blames Trump for the insurrection and explains that Biden was the least threatening figure that could have assumed the Presidency following Trump's regime, who tried to overthrow the government and destroy the American Constitution.
Graham is not alone in his disdain for Trump despite telling the Republican base destructive lies designed to radicalize with fear. House Minority leader Kevin McCarthy also publicly supported Trump, while in private telling his leadership that he would ask the twice-impeached conman from Florida, to resign following the January 6th attack on the Capitol by Trump's domestic terrorists.
We must do everything in our power to remove these craven, power-hungry liars from positions of leadership, by voting them out of office.
Just because the orange maniac has been removed from power does not mean that the threat is gone. The Republican Party is loaded with orange monsters, some are just better at hiding it.

It appears, based on a leaked opinion written by the United States Supreme Court Justice Samuel Alito, that Roe v. Wade (1973) is about to be overturned by the Trump/McConnell SCOTUS.
Let's start by stating unequivocally that at least 3 members of the United States Supreme Court, the one's appointed by Trump and rushed through by McConnell, Neil Gorsuch, Brett Kavanaugh and Amy Coney Barrett, are guilty of Perjury.
They lied under oath to members of the Senate to secure the votes for their nomination to a lifetime appoint and then did the exact opposite of what they said they would not do which is overturn Roe v. Wade.
But we might as well forget the fact that they will be held accountable for their lies because no one in the modern American Fascist Party, formerly the GOP, is being held accountable for their crimes, big or small.
Let's instead just focus on what these criminals are about to do to the law of the land for the last 49 years, which has been reaffirmed by the US Supreme Court multiple times since 1973.
When they overturn Roe v. Wade, at least 29 state legislatures will pass laws making abortions illegal. They will feed you BS in all these states currently run by the American Fascist Party such as: 'we are not completely banning abortion, but you have 6 weeks to have an abortion, or we are going to end rape, but it's simply pure LIES, LIES, LIES.
The six-week window that some states are going to provide as their horseshit excuse as to why they are not fully banning abortion, is laughable. Most women do not even know they are pregnant six weeks into a pregnancy, so they might miss that window. A teenager, who is afraid to tell someone that they are pregnant, might also miss the window because in all likelihood they will drag their feet because of fear, especially if they can not approach their overly religious parents.
The next problem is that almost all of these states will make NO EXCEPTIONS for rape or incest. Simply put, this is insane. In some states in this country after this ruling goes through, rape victims will be required to carry their rapist's baby to term. But even more obscene than that is that incest victims will have to carry the baby of their rapist father or uncle to term. No trauma there I guess, huh? Who is pro-pedophile now?
Pure evil and power hungry, old men politicians like Governor Greg Abbott will tell you that he is now going to end rape in Texas.
There are two problems with Abbott's statement. First, you are not going to end rape. You may catch the perpetrator after the fact, but ending it is impossible. Secondly, his statement suggests that he could have ended rape before passing this gross bill in Texas, but instead chose not to end Rape. He might be even more certifiable than Marjorie Taylor Greene, and dumber than Trump. In both cases, not an easy task.
The other thing they will tell you is that they are prolife, but that is also a monumental lie. They are pro birth. That's it. They do not believe in any services to be provided for these children after they are born. Ask any so-called pro birth Republican Fascist if they believe in paid family leave, food stamps, health care for all children, prenatal care services, and they will say no. That's going to raise my taxes, so no I am not in favor of that. Given that reality, they are in no way prolife, simply pro birth.
Lastly what happened to the freedom argument. For the last two years I have heard about nothing else. I've heard crybaby, snowflake Republicans scream about why they should not be forced to wear a mask indoors during a world-wide pandemic that has killed over a million Americans, but making a child carry her rapist father's baby to term, that should be regulated by the government. NO MASKS, but trauma beyond understanding, the government should be able to force that.
This is so disturbing that I welcome all comments, because I am ready to take on all comers with insane arguments. Who will be the first to support people who commit incest? Who will be the first to defend rapists over rape victims?
This is exactly we have been talking about here for the last three to four years. Just because the orange monster has been thrust into the abyss, does not mean that the threat is gone. The extremists on the right have been arguing for this for decades. It pre-dates Trump by a lot. He just knew how to manipulate the dumbest among us. They even violated the U.S. Constitution in order to steal a US Supreme Court seat in order to make this happen.
When Antonin Scalia died, Barrack Obama was entitled to replace him according to the Constitution, but again, Republicans only believe in the Constitution when it convenient for them, not when they are violating it.
